In search of the lost good ...
This is the title of a Unit organized a second class of junior high school.
The theme of this project is the Castello Ruffo Scilla and its task is to educate young people to the knowledge of its artistic and cultural heritage.
Heritage comes from the Latin pater and indicates items that are bequeathed to the children. Students should understand that whatever is around them has a story in the sense that bears the traces of man. It 'must, therefore, taught to see, observe the traces left that path, especially in a country like Italy can be called "museum".
It 'important, so that the boy may develop an emotional attachment to everything that surrounds it: we do not strive for that which you love. For this to happen is that kids need to learn to know, that is to relate the emotional and intellectual; learn to see, act of pure perception must become an action involving judgment, and finally act, ie design and implement actions aimed at safeguarding the environment.
In relation to the objective it was decided to work with teachers of different disciplines in order to embrace the history of the castle from all points of view.
Interdisciplinary:
• History
• Computer (using a PC as a result you will explain to children how to use it)
• Italian (text advertising, theater activities, active listening of a legend, oral clear to be understood by the pseudo-visitors)
• Music (please listen to the music of the time)
• Motor (through games reproduce the activities of the Knights: balancing on a trunk, throw a pitch in a circle, flag, archery ...)
• Technical Ed (explaining the materials used for construction)
Prerequisites:
• be able to put in time and space the various populations that you'll be treated;
• know Homer, Ovid and the myth of Ulysses
• know what are the cultural heritage
• learn techniques such as collage or mosaic;
• know the text type of advertising
Objectives:
• understand the importance of knowing the environment in its historical aspect - art;
• become aware of the relationship between the historical and the expression socio - cultural
• disseminate the knowledge of historical, geographical, artistic on the monument;
• promote planning and creativity;
• acquire and enhance the expressiveness of the language of art and literature
• understand the importance of new technologies for the dissemination of culture
• know the typical music of the Middle Ages
• learn about the activities of the knights of the time
• poor knowledge of the materials used for the construction of the castle
Methodology:
The duration of the didactic unit is divided into four classes:
• A lecture in the classroom
• A visit to the castle
• A laboratory
• Games in the gym to mimic the activities of the Knights
