At European level, Italy before France (89 blue flags), Greece (82) and Turkey (51). Regarding the regional distribution of awards in the lead this year is Tuscany, with 14 blue flags, two more of Liguria which topped the chart in 2005. Following are the coasts of Marche (11 awards) and Abruzzo (10). Of note is the great success from the sea in the province of Salerno, who got seven blue flags.
