The vineyards

Table and vinified for family consumption.
Ongoing initiatives for the restoration and enhancement of native varieties. In place a three year project is being funded by the Department of Agriculture-Region (with ARSSA and Confagricoltura) enhancement of viticulture area, designed for technical assistance and development, and especially in the trial census ampelographic microvinification to count among the grapes Muscat of Alexandria wine from which we obtain (today for family consumption), a prized sweet: Zibibbo the Costa Viola.
At the same time it was activated between May and August 2003, the Provincial Planning Agreement in wine, is aimed at recovery and enhancement of the vineyards of the province with particular reference to areas of DOC and IGT. We also provide research and experimentation for the development of local varieties.
Finally during the third year of implementation of the RDP "Purple Coast" by the Department of Agriculture-Region as part of the Agro-environmental measures (Reg EC 445/2002) application to the maintenance of terraces.

The soils

The land is arranged in terraces planted with vines consist of bands from 0.70 to 1 m wide by up to 2.5-3 me are supported by dry stone walls (armacìe) with a height of 1 m to 3 m.
